Bishkek, Nov. 9, 2023. / Kabar/. The first Blind Fest in the history of Kyrgyzstan, dedicated to the World Slight Day, will take place in Bishkek on November 13, the Kyrgyz Federation of the Blind reported.
The Blind Fest is a festival designed to raise awareness about the lives of blind people and promote their inclusion in society.
According to the organizers, the festival will begin at 12.00 with a peaceful march, which is designed to draw attention to the problems and development opportunities of people with visual impairments.
There will also be master classes on cooking using the “blind” method, rides on tandem bicycles, jogging as chaperones for blind para-athletes and competitions with blind judokas.
The festival will end with a large conference, the main purpose of which is to discuss the adaptation of the blind to a full life and the features of their inclusion in modern society.
