Bishkek to host city chess championship among people with disabilities

Bishkek, May 14, 2019. /Kabar/ The city chess championship among people with hearing and vision disabilities will be held on May 14-20 in Bishkek.

The capital city's Mayor’s Office’s press service reported that the tournament will be held at the base of the chess club of the central board of the Kyrgyz society of the Deaf and Kyrgyz society of the Blind.

Primary and urban, youth organizations of the Kyrgyz society of the Blind and Deaf will take part in the championship.

Organizers hold a championship with the aim of attracting people with disabilities to regular physical education and sports, further developing chess, drawing public attention to the problems of people with physical disabilities, improving sports skills and identifying the strongest athletes among people with hearing and vision disabilities.
