Bishkek to host first Islamic Business and Investment Forum

Bishkek, March 2, 2023. / Kabar /. The Islamic Business and Investment Corporation informs that on March 13-14, 2023, the first Islamic Business and Investment Forum IBIF-2023 will be held in Bishkek.

About 70 million people live in the countries of Central Asia, 55 million of which are Muslims.

“The population of the Central Asian region, including Kyrgyzstan, has neither the mechanisms nor the potential to study and use the Islamic system. There is no necessary knowledge about fair principles in the financial, credit, economic and business spheres. The IBIF-2023 Forum will be the starting point for this important and useful work. This is a kind of platform for socio-economic, cultural and spiritual interaction between the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East,” the forum organizers say.

According to them, representatives of government agencies, international funds and investment companies, entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan and the Middle East have already confirmed their participation in the first IBIF forum.

“We are confident that the forum will help the participating countries get to know each other better, as well as strengthen socio-economic ties, exchange experience and knowledge in promoting Islamic investment, entrepreneurship and innovation in the countries of Central Asia,” one of the organizers of the forum and Vice President President of IBIC Corporation Murad Sekakmia said.

“Representatives of the business community will be able to study and exchange experience of successful practices in financing and implementing investment projects. The forum will become a platform for attracting direct Islamic investments to the economies of Central Asian countries. In the future, the IBIF forum will become an annual international event held in Kyrgyzstan,” the forum organizers concluded.

The organizers of the first forum "IBIF-2023" are: Islamic Business and Investment Corporation (IBIC) with the assistance of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, the JTA International Holding (Qatar), the Russian-Arab Research and Information Foundation (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
