Bishkek hosts peaceful march for stabilization of social and political situation

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2020 /Kabar/. A women’s “White Shawl” march in memory of deceased during Oct. 5 protest actions in Bishkek Altynbek uulu Umutbek is taking place at the Kurmanzhan Datka monument in the capital, the event organizers told Kabar Agency.

The purpose of the march is consolidation of all women of Kyrgyzstan around the idea of peace, stability and accord.

"We want to make an appeal to all mothers in regions not to send their children to Bishkek to participate in the unrest. The death of a young patriot was not in vain! Bow to his mother that she raised a true patriot of the country. We call for a peaceful action to be held simultaneously in all regions of the country," the organizers said.

According to the latest data of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry, over 1000 citizens were injured during a two-day unrest in the capital city of Bishkek broke out after parliamentary elections on Oct. 4, 2020.

204 people were hospitalized, 1 is in serious condition in ICU, 1002 people were injured.

19-year-old Altynbek uulu Umutbek has died.
