Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2018. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Textile & Clothing Week 2018 will be held in Bishkek from 7 to 16 November.
Within its framework, Fashion Week and High Level Forum will be held with the participation of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Muhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev. This is the first large-scale event in Kyrgyzstan dedicated to the development of the textile and clothing industry, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
An exhibition-fair of garment products from local manufacturers will be held at Kozhomkul Palace of Sports from 7 to 11 November as part of Kyrgyz Textile & Clothing Week 2018. Kyrgyz companies will present their products - clothes, shoes, accessories, fabrics.
From November 13 to November 16, fashion week will be held at Jannat Hotel. Within its framework, there will be a competition for young designers “The Next Fashion”, as well as a competition among industrial companies “Fashion Brand”. In addition, an exhibition of handicrafts and a competition of designers of artisans "Altyn toos" will be held.
From 13 to 14 November, round tables devoted to the development of the textile and clothing industry will be held at Jannat Hotel. In addition, representatives of enterprises of the sector, government bodies, non-governmental sector, experts will discuss:
- state support for the textile and apparel industry to attract labor to the industry,
- effectiveness of the training system for the industry,
- ensuring decent working conditions, tools for financing the clothing industry,
- export competitiveness of textile and clothing industry.
All conclusions and recommendations made during the round tables will be presented on November 16 at a high level forum on “Creating Favorable Conditions for Enhancing the National importance and Image of the Textile and Garment Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic” with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Moreover, within the framework of the forum, award ceremony for the winners of competitions for young designers, industrial enterprises, craftsmen and a media competition announced during the Kyrgyz Textile & Clothing Week 2018 will be held.
The event is organized by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Legprom Light Industry Enterprises Association of the Kyrgyz, the Fashion Designers Association, Dayry Foundation, development partners, including UNDP, ITC, EBRD, ILO, Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
