Bishkek, Apr. 10, 2018. / Kabar /. The V International Forum of Best Municipal Practices will be held In Bishkek on Apr. 11-12, First Vice Mayor of Bishkek Renat Makenov told reporters at Kabar News Agency.
Representatives of municipalities and local governments of 150 cities of the world will take part in the event.
"The forum will be held with the support and active participation of the Government of Kyrgyzstan and the Bishkek Mayor’s Office. The initiative to organize a business platform for municipal employees was supported and approved by Prime Minister Sapar Isakov. The main objective of the Forum is the presentation of successful managerial experience of cities in solving problems of local self-government, as well as the positive positioning of cities at the intermunicipal level," he said.
The forum will be attended by the first persons of the municipalities of foreign cities who will present the most advanced developments in the framework of their activities in the field of city management.
"Representatives of municipalities from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Germany, Finland, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, the United States, South Korea, Albania, China, Armenia and other countries will take part in the Forum to exchange experience of municipal entities.
Murat Baidyldaev, deputy director of the State Agency for Local Self-Government and Interethnic Relations, said that the thematic sections will be held on a wide range of issues of urban management, such as economy, finance, intergovernmental relations, investment climate, housing and communal services, social policy, ecology, information technologies, international activity, regulation of inter-confessional and interethnic relations, as well as cultural identity and identity of cities.
In addition, within the framework of the Forum it is expected to sign agreements on cooperation between the cities of Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Armenia and Germany.
The first International form of municipal practices was held in 2013 in Penza, Russia.
