Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2020 /Kabar/. On weekend, the City Health Department at the Bishkek Mayor’s Office together with the Center for Health Promotion and the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan celebrated the National Blood Donor Day in Adinai park.
According to the press service of the municipality, during the event, the citizens were told about the factors of blood pressure development and given advice on preventing cardiovascular diseases. At the same time, it was also possible to learn about their blood pressure and become a blood donor.
"Thus, 84 people became blood donors, 38 liters of precious material were collected. In addition, 169 people checked their blood pressure, 48 of them had high blood pressure, 9 people were not aware of the problem, they were provided with medical advice," the report says.
The Bishkek Mayor’s Office thanks everyone who did not stand aside and took part in the health campaign.
