Tashkent, Dec. 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . A book about Queen of Alay Kurmanjan Datka by Honored Worker of Kyrgyzstan Bubaisha Arstanbekova took place in the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent.
The book was presented within the 10th Open Eurasian Literary Festival and Book Forum in Tashkent, Kabar News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan.
Addressing the audience, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov noted the important historical role of the Alai queen and the uniqueness of her fate for the Eastern woman of the 19th century.
"The wise and far-sighted rule of Kurmanjan Datka in a difficult period has largely predetermined the further path of development of the Kyrgyz people. She is the only woman ruler in the Central Asian region ruler who has been awarded the title of Datka twice," he noted.
At the end of his speech, the ambassador thanked poetess Bubaisha Arstanbekova for her work and efforts to acquaint the general public with the life of the great daughter of the Kyrgyz people - Kurmanjan Datka.
The book was published in London under the Queen Kurmanjan of the Mountains title in English.
