Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2020 / Kabar /. The presentation of the book "Great Victory - 75 years" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) took place in Bishkek, the press service of the capital city’s Bishkek Mayor's Office reported.
The event was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, prisoners of concentration camps.
The book was published by the Council of Veterans of the Pervomaisky District of Bishkek. It tells about veterans. The authors of the book hope that for the younger generation of the country the feat of veterans will become an example of courage, patriotism and love for their Fatherland.
There are 14 participants of the Great Patriotic War, 3 invalids of the Great Patriotic War, 2 residents of besieged Leningrad, 6 prisoners of concentration camps, 44 home front workers and 106 widows of participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War are registered in the Department of Social Development of the Pervomaisky District of Bishkek.
