Tashkent, Dec. 14, 2018. /Kabar/. A book entitled “Chingiz Aitmatov – klassik sovremennosti" (Russian: Чингиз Айтматов – классик современности, lit.: Chyngyz Aitmatov - a classic of our time) was published in Uzbekistan. This book was written by Khairulla Khamidov, head of the Translation Department of Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, and published as part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of great writer and public figure Chyngyz Aitmatov in Uzbekistan.
Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of Tashkent State Institute Adhambek Alimbekov told that the duty of a man of science and literature is to thoroughly study the works of an outstanding humanist writer, to promote work of the wordsmith among young people.
“This book is part of the events held in Uzbekistan, dedicated to the jubilee date of the great writer and should be perceived as a sign of deep respect for the memory of outstanding writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. The thoughts stated in it will be very useful for young researchers and students conducting scientific work on the study of the theory and practice of modern literature,” he said.
The work was based on the results of the author’s research on the translation of separate works by Aitmatov, which were performed at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State Institute named after Lomonosov, memoirs of contemporaries of the great writer.
