The press service of the committee said that the head of the State Committee for National Security flew out urgently with resuscitation vehicles to transport two wounded servicemen.

Earlier, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that in the course of serving in Bulak-Bashy area of ​​ Batken region, the Kyrgyz border guards discovered the border guards of Tajikistan who illegally crossed the conditional border line and entered the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Ignoring the legitimate demands of the Kyrgyz border guards to leave the territory of Kyrgyzstan, the Tajik border guards opened fire on Kyrgyz servicemen.

An exchange of fire ensued between the border guards of the two countries, during which the Tajik side used mortars.

The Border Service is taking all measures to prevent the escalation of the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the report said.

At present, the skirmish on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border has been stopped, the sides are negotiating.

Two soldiers were injured in the incident.
