Border guards of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus strengthen cooperation

Bishkek, March 2, 2018 / Kabar /. Border guards of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus strengthen cooperation, the press service of the State Border Service (SBS) of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

A working meeting of the Heads of border agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus was held in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus on March 1.

The frontier guard delegation of Kyrgyzstan was headed by Chairman of the SBS of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ularbek Sharsheev. The Republic of Belarus was represented by Chairman of the State Border Committee Anatoly Lappo.

During the talks, the sides discussed the situation on borders of two states, analyzed the trends of its development, as well as threats and problematic issues that affect the security of state borders.

During the meeting, the Heads of the border agencies stressed the need to develop cooperation within the bilateral format with the aim of exchanging experience in border protection and improving the border infrastructure.

The Kyrgyz delegation paid special attention to studying the experience of the border guard service of Belarus in the field of border protection, border control, training and cynology.

As a result of the meeting, the sides signed a treaty that determined the development of bilateral cooperation in operational activities, training and technical support for border agencies.
