The situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border worsened due to the use of weapons and fire by the Tajik side on the border units of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan in the Chyr-Dobo area of Batken Oblast. The main skirmishes between units of the border troops of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are taking place in the areas of Tort-Kocho and Chyr-Dobo. The Tajik side uses mortars and grenade launchers, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan said.

Earlier the section of the Batken-Isfana road in the area of ​​Tort-Kocho was blocked by the citizens of Tajikistan and was opened for travel following negotiations between the border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
