Bishkek, March 26, 2021 . / Kabar /. There will be no more problems with border issues, Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev told speaking about agreements reached following talks on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.
During a press conference at the Government’s House, Tashiev said Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were able to agree and 100% resolve the issue of disputed sections of the state border.
"As part of the negotiations, an agreement was signed, which spells out the specific delineation of the borders of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. There will be no more problems with border issues," the chairman said.
Under the agreement, the Kyrgyz Republic will transfer 300 hectares of land to Uzbekistan and in exchange will receive 1 thousand hectares of land.
On March 24, the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent hosted a talks of governmental delegations on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.
