Border Rep of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan agree to return to points of permanent deployment of forces

Bishkek, March 10, 2022. / Kabar /. Negotiations were held between the border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on March 10.

According to the press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, following the results of the negotiations, the sides reached decisions that each side will conduct its own investigation into the armed incident that occurred on March 10, 2022. The preliminary results of the investigation will be announced at the meeting of the heads of the border agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, scheduled for March 12, 2022 and to continue to carry out explanatory work among the residents of border villages.

During the talks, issues on the observance by the military personnel of the border departments of the two countries of the Line of conduct of military personnel on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border were also considered.

The border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan agreed to return to the points of permanent deployment of forces, means and equipment pulled into the area of ​​the incident.

As of 16:00, the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border is characterized as stable.
