During the meeting, the sides discussed the events that took place on April 11, 2018 in the village of Kazarman Toguz-Toro region of Jalal-Abad oblast, where Ji El Makmal Development LLC was a fire was set in the gold extraction plant. According to data of the company, the amount of damage amounted to $ 2.3 million.
Boronov noted that it is necessary to wait for the results of the investigation of the incident and to identify the organizers of the unrest.
"It is important that local authorities and law enforcement agencies work proactively, taking measures to prevent conflicts between mining companies and local residents," he said.
Boronov noted that the Kyrgyz government is interested in foreign investors and the development of the gold mining industry.
"Effective cooperation with foreign investors is of fundamental importance for us. The investigation of the situation that happened on April 11 is under my personal control," the Vice Prime Minister said.
