Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2020 / Kabar /. All polling stations must comply with sanitary and epidemiological standards, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov said at a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
“A large number of people will come to the polling stations on election day. Therefore, it is important to monitor citizens' compliance with all sanitary and hygienic requirements. Disinfectants and medical masks have been delivered to all polling stations, based on the number of voters at each polling station, according to the Central Election Commission. A total of 3.5 million medical masks. Everyone, be it a voter or a member of a commission, must comply with sanitary requirements. There should be no problems with the lack of disinfectants either,” said Kubatbek Boronov.
The head of government recalled that the day after the elections, the educational process for primary school students is resumed.
“We all know that many polling stations are located in schools. Taking this into account, it was decided to resume the educational process from Oct. 6, that is, one day after the elections. On Oct. 5, every school, especially in those educational institutions where the polling station was located, will be thoroughly disinfected. We must protect our children from COVID-19,” the prime minister stressed.
Kubatbek Boronov noted that all general educational institutions should work according to the algorithm developed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science.
The parliamentary elections will be held on Oct. 4, 2020.
