Boronov: We can pay debts to China

Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2019. / Kabar /. Kubatbek Boronov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic told reporters at a press conference in the Government House that Kyrgyz lands would not be given to China because of debts.

He said that recently the topic of close cooperation with China and the fear that soon, when the time comes to repay loans and other debts to the Chinese side, Kyrgyzstan will not be able and then pay back in land, has been actively discussed in society.

“We have several projects implementing for credit funds of China. Recently, in the community people are worried that we will give away the territory of our country for debt. It is not true. Those who want to destabilize the situation say such things. We do not have such terms in the agreement. And I’ll say with confidence that when the peak of loan repayment comes, we will be able to pay and return all liabilities on loans,” Boronov said.
