Bishkek, Mar. 11, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz boxers won two medals at an international tournament in Belarus, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Education and Sports reported.
The competitions were held in the city of Gomel from 6 to 9 March, where the Kyrgyz Republic was represented by seven athletes.
Nuradin Rustambek uulu, winning all four bouts in the weight category up to 69 kilograms, won the gold medal. In the final, the Kyrgyzstani was supposed to meet tournament host Robert Hristein, but due to the non-appearance of the opponent, the judges gave the victory to Rustambek uulu.
Another representative of the national team Ahmed Usupov (+91 kg) won the bronze medal. In the semifinals he lost to Dmitry Zakharyev from Russia.
