Bishkek, May 26, 2022. / Kabar /. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited a branch of Farabi Kazakh National University in Bishkek, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said.
Rector Zhanseit Tuymebaev conducted a tour of the building and told the heads of state about the educational institution.
The decision to open a branch of the university was made following the state visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Kazakhstan, which took place in March 2021.
Students will be trained in the specialties that are in demand today in Kyrgyzstan and abroad: IT technologies, mining, the use of natural resources, tourism, etc.
It is supposed to attract 30% of the teaching staff from the head university in Kazakhstan, and 70% will be teachers from Kyrgyzstan.
In the future, it is planned to create a scientific laboratory for collective use and a technology park.
The branch will train citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as other countries.
The leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan inspected the building of the educational institution and left a note and their wishes in the book of honored guests of the university.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday for an official visit. The Kazakh president met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
