Bridge connecting Kyrgyz and Tajik villages built in Batken Oblast

Osh, Oct.2, 2019 /Kabar/. The Dostok new bridge, which connects the Internatsional Kyrgyz village and Tajik village of Ofchu-Kalacha, has been commissioned in Leilek region, Batken Oblast.

The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Batken Oblast Akram Madumarov, Chairman of the Sughd Region Radzhobboi Akhmadzoda, a number of leaders and local residents.

During this speech, Governor Madumarov said the bridge will create conditions for strengthening friendship between the two peoples.

Elders of the two countries called for unity and gave their blessing. The old bridge became unusable 2 years ago. The bridge is located on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, so it was decided to build it jointly.
