Bishkek, May 5, 2020. /Kabar/. Citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who were in Sol-Iletsk, Orenburg Oblast of the Russian Federation, entered Kazakhstan for further travel to the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

At present, the staff of the Kyrgyz Embassies in Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Orenburg are working on seating approximately 550 citizens on 10 buses, which will leave for Kyrgyzstan in the near future, accompanied by the Kazakh traffic police.

During the crossing the Russian-Kazakh state border, the citizens are organized to undergo thermometric procedures at the sanitary-quarantine post.

Provision of the transit corridor through the territory of Kazakhstan became possible thanks to the agreements with the Kazakh side, reached in the course of talks between the two countries' Foreign Ministries.

Given the current state of emergency on the territory of Kazakhstan due to the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in the world, the provided transit corridor for the movement of buses is a one-time action of the Kazakh side for a limited number of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, located in the city of Sol-Iletsk.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic expresses gratitude to the Russian and Kazakh sides for their help and assistance in the return of Kyrgyz citizens to their homeland under restrictive measures and closed borders.

Work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens, carried out in response to an instruction of President of the Kyrgyz Republic, is continuing.
