Bishkek, March 31, 2022 / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov received Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) System in the Kyrgyz Republic Ozonnia Ojielo.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said that during the conversation, Akylbek Zhaparov pointed out the need to adjust the country plan for the activities of the UN system due to recent global economic changes.
In turn, Ozonnia Ojielo emphasized the high quality of the recently approved anti-crisis Plan of the Cabinet of Ministers, which covers all important aspects and areas of activity of the population and noted the importance and timeliness of its adoption.
Ozonnia Ojielo also informed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers about the current progress in the implementation of UN system programs in various fields.
The UN representative stressed that a significant increase in prices for food and essential goods is observed throughout the world and represents a significant challenge for the governments of all developing countries.
The meeting participants discussed in detail the necessary measures to mitigate external shocks and prevent vulnerable segments of the population from falling into extreme poverty.
