Bishkek, June 17, 2022. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov spoke at the panel session "Eurasian Economic Union: New Integration Quality” of the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the press service of the Cabinet said.
"The St. Petersburg Economic Forum has its own image, tradition and has become an important international platform for the exchange of opinions on the issues, first of all, of economic problems. The current difficult global economic situation has affected the economies of all member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, characterized by a negative investment trend, reduction of exports and deformation of traditional trade and economic relations. Despite this, our association has shown its sustainability and ability to overcome crisis phenomena," he said.
Akylbek Zhaparov stressed that in order to reduce the influence of the external factor on the economies of the Union it is necessary to take joint measures with the development of new approaches and attitudes.
"Using the opportunities and competitive advantages of the national economies of our association should involve the stimulation, above all, of innovative and high-tech production potentials. There is need to implement real cooperation projects not only in industrial sectors with the creation of joint ventures, but also the introduction of tools and mechanisms to support and promote exports of goods produced in the countries of the integration association," he said.
Speaking about manufacturing industries, the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet noted the need to take effective measures to improve the investment climate, support and encourage entrepreneurs, remove barriers and obstacles in order to take full advantage of Eurasian integration.
