Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2022 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met on Wednesday with Director General of the Eti Bakyr Tereksai mining enterprise Veli Gokdere, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
The company's director noted that the gold extraction plant at the Terek-Sai deposit will be commissioned in the first quarter of this year.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of the production activities of the Kyrgyz-Turkish enterprise, including the implementation of environmental requirements and social obligations.
As a result of the meeting, a number of instructions were given to the relevant state and local authorities.
The Terek-Sai field is located in the village of Terek-Sai, Chatkal region of Jalal-Abad Oblast. Ety Bakyr Tereksai Ltd is a joint venture, 25% of the capital belongs to Kyrgyzaltyn JSC and 75% to the Turkish Ety Bakyr.
The company employs more than 800 Kyrgyzstanis.
