Bishkek, Jan.21, 2025. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting with World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Tatyana Proskuryakova.
During the meeting the parties discussed cooperation in such spheres as energy, budget, investments and social development, the cabinet of Ministers reported.
Special attention was paid to the construction project of Kambarata HPP-1. The sides discussed issues of further promotion of this project, its financing and support from international donors.
The head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet expressed confidence in the fulfillment of all necessary conditions for the implementation of this strategically important project. He also expressed hope for further productive cooperation with the World Bank and reported on plans to participate in the “Spring” meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which will be held in April this year in Washington (USA).
In turn, Tatyana Proskuryakova noted the significant results of Kyrgyzstan's development, emphasizing that five years ago “no one could even dream of such achievements”. She also emphasized the active work in all areas of cooperation and noted the impressive progress in advancing the Kambarata HPP-1 project.
She added that the project is of great interest to international financial institutions, as evidenced by a recent meeting with donors in Brussels, Belgium, where they expressed desire to participate in the implementation of the project.
In conclusion, the parties agreed on the need to continue the dialog and coordination of actions for the successful implementation of the planned projects. They agreed to hold regular meetings and consultations at the level of experts of different profiles.
