Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan introduces restrictions on export of precious metals

Bishkek, Aug. 5, 2022 /Kabar/. A six-month ban on exports from the Kyrgyz Republic outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) of scrap and waste of ferrous metals, ingots of ferrous metals for melting (ingots) classified under code 7204 of the TN VED EAEU was established by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce is instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission in the prescribed manner about the introduction of the ban, which comes into force no later than three days from the date of entry into force of this decree, which comes into force after seven days from the date of its official publication.

Another decision of the Cabinet of Ministers for a period of six months introduces quantitative restrictions on the export from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic of precious metals and raw materials containing precious metals in an amount not exceeding 500 kg.
