Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. An event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Torokulovich Aitmatov was held at the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Hero of the Soviet Union Lieutenant General Kalyinur Usenbekov, at the initiative of the leadership and the Humanities Department of the educational institution, the press service of the State Committee for Defense Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The solemn event was attended by the specialized department of the State Committee for Defense Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the staff of the military institute, the battalion of the military institute for the educational process, as well as the faculty and students of the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after Bubusara Beyshenaliyeva took part.
Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Russian-Kyrgyz Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin, linguist Attokur Japanov, who attended the event as a guest, gave a lecture: “Manas and Aitmatov”, and a video film about the work of the great writer was shown.
Moreover, the cadets of the military institute quoted monologues from the works of the great writer, recited their own poems dedicated to the work of Aitmatov. In turn, students of the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after Bubusara Beishenalieva showed a theatrical performance.
