Bishkek, Jan. 4, 2021. /Kabar/. A call center 1255 is launched at the Central Elections Commission (CEC) of the Kyrgyz Republic. Citizens can get answers and counseling on issues related to voting in the early presidential elections and the referendum (nationwide vote) to determine the form of government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz CEC, the purpose of the call center’s launching is to raise the awareness of citizens about the electoral process and the rules of participation in the voting, as well as to increase their participation in elections and referendums.
Answers to citizens are given by specialists of the CEC of Kyrgyzstan. Also, specialists with disabilities, women and representatives of youth are involved from outside to work in the call center.
Supporting the participation of people with disabilities, as well as representatives of youth, women and other vulnerable segments of the population in the electoral process is an important element for the involvement of certain categories of citizens in the electoral processes.
Kyrgyzstan's early presidential elections are scheduled for Jan. 10, 2021. The referendum on the form of the government will take place the same day.
