Camels participate in campaign against smog in Bishkek

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2018. /Kabar/. A campaign entitled “We are against Smog” took place at the intersection of Bach Street and the South Highway in Bishkek. A caravan of camels was involved in it.

The organizers told that they wanted to attract public attention with the help of those animals.

“People will start being photographed against the background of camels, sharing photos and videos on the media, which will have a greater effect for the campaign,” one of the organizers said.

Camels were brought from Ak-Tala region of Naryn oblast. The purpose of the campaign is to encourage the residents switch over to gas boilers so that they stop heating their homes with coal.
