Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting Mayor of Bishkek Balbak Tulobayev met with Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Khurshid Mirzakhidov.
According to the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office, the issue of further development and strengthening of cooperation between the two capitals - Bishkek and Tashkent - was raised during the meeting.
"The sides also expressed interest in trade and economic, investment and cultural and humanitarian cooperation and the deepening of relations," the report said.
Besides, it was decided to identify points of contact between Bishkek and Tashkent and bring together a number of ideas and proposals, which will be an important basis for the next stage of negotiations.
Note that in 1996 and 2017, agreements were signed between the Bishkek Mayor's Office and the Tashkent Khokimiyat on interaction in the economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian areas.
On Sept. 4, 1993, agreements on cooperation were signed with the Bukhara City Khokimiyat and on economic and cultural cooperation with the Samarkand Region.
