Captain of national football team Kichin to play for domestic FC Bars

Bishkek, Jan.14, 2025. /Kabar/. Captain of Kyrgyzstan’s national football team Valery Kichin signed a one-year contract with the new Bars FC, Kabar News Agency has learnt from the press service of the club.

The football player is already preparing to go to training camp. Thus, Kichin returns to the domestic club after 13 years of playing for foreign teams.

Valeriy Kichin started his professional career at the Abdysh-Ata club and has since played for teams in Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan, including such clubs as Anji, Tyumen, Torpedo, Dynamo Minsk and Lokomotiv Tashkent. He played 52 matches for the Kyrgyz national team, scoring 5 goals.

The head coach of Bars is Alexander Krestinin, who previously worked with Kichin in the Kyrgyz national team and Lokomotiv Tashkent. The club also plans to strengthen the roster with other national team players.

Bars FC is a newcomer to the Kyrgyz Premier League. In addition to it, three other new clubs will be announced in the upcoming season - Uzgen, Bishkek City and AsiaGol.
