Car accident in Kazakhstan kills 4 Kyrgyz citizens, 1 injured

Bishkek, Jan.17, 2020. /Kabar/. Car accident in Kazakhstan on Jan.16 killed four Kyrgyzstanis, and another Kyrgyz woman is in hospital, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Friday.

The accident with the participation of VAZ 21070 car occurred on the Samara-Shymkent highway, located in Yrgyz District of Aktobe Region.

"As a result, 4 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic of 29, 27, 25 and 19 years old were killed. Another 23-years old Kyrgyz citizen was injured, she was hospitalized in the Yrgyz District Hospital. The bodies of the dead were sent to the morgue of the Irgiz District Hospital,” the ministry’s press service reported.

Kazakhstani competent authorities are currently conducting pre-trial investigations into the accident and appointed the necessary examinations. The victim is receiving the necessary medical care and there are no threats to her vital signs.

Relatives of the deceased citizens have been informed of the accident. The Kyrgyz Embassy in Kazakhstan will provide assistance in transporting the bodies of the deceased citizens to the Kyrgyz Republic.
