Bishkek, Oct. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. Oleg Pankratov, Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, had a meeting with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS), Baghdad Amreyev, during which he discussed cooperation issues within the framework of the Turkic Council.
During the meeting, Minister Pankratov noted that the CCTS member countries have many common plans and goals in many areas in the field of cultural, humanitarian, trade, economic and investment cooperation, some of which, thanks to the efforts of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council, are already being implemented.
The Minister said that regional cooperation is one of the most priority directions of the foreign policy and foreign economic activity of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Pankratov also expressed the hope that voiced proposals of the presidents of the CCTS member states during the 6th summit of the Turkic Council on September 2, 2018, regarding the intensification of economic cooperation in the near future will affect the indicators of mutual trade and the volume of investment in the region.
“The Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States should become not only a platform for maintaining intergovernmental dialogue, but also create conditions for the development of economic cooperation, integration, stimulation of economic growth and competitiveness,” Pankratov said.
