CCTS VII meeting kicks off in Baku

Baku, Oct.15, 2019. /Kabar/. The VII meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) is being held in Baku (Azerbaijan).

Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Purli Agamuradov, CCTS Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev are taking part in the meeting.

The issues of development of all-round cooperation between the Turkic-speaking countries, including cultural-humanitarian and trade-economic cooperation will be discussed at the CCTS regular meeting.

Note that Kyrgyzstan will hand over the chairmanship in CCTS to Azerbaijan.

As part of participation in the CCTS meeting, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held bilateral meetings with First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, where a number of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

A meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is also expected.
