Bishkek, 1 August / Kabar /. The Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic began to study the documents of citizens who had nominated their candidacy for presidency, CEC chairwoman Nurzhan Shaildabekova told at a press briefing.
She said that yesterday, at 00:00, reception of documents of applicants was completed.
"In total, we have 48 candidates who applied to the CEC as self-nominated candidates, 11 from political parties. Among the candidates are 7 women, 52 are men. Also 7 people are in the civil service, 7 - from public organizations, 9 - pensioners, 9 - unemployed," she said.
The presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on October 15, 2017.
