Bishkek, Jan. 20, 2021 / Kabar /. A protocol on the results of a referendum on the form of government of the Kyrgyz Republic, held on Jan. 10, 2021, has been approved today at the meeting of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the protocol, in total 1 million 394 thousand 218 or 39.12% of the total number of citizens included in the lists of referendum participants took part in the referendum.
81.49 percent of voters or 1 million 136 thousand 155 people casted their votes for the presidential form of government, 10.91 percent or 152 thousand 081 people voted for the parliamentary republic and 4.47 percent or 62 thousand 265 people voted against all options.
Thus, the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan decided to declare the referendum valid and recognized the presidential form of government.
