BISHKEK, Aug. 8, 2017. /Kabar/. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Kyrgyz Republic refused 4 applicants to be registered as a presidential candidate. Such a decision was made the day before at the meeting of the Central Election Commission.
The press service of the CEC reports that, at the meeting the Central Election Commission took a decision on refusing to further consider applications for nomination and registration of some candidates for the post of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In connection with the non-creation of the electoral fund within 5 calendar days after the nomination of their candidacy and the failure to provide the relevant documents, the Central Election Commission decided to refuse to register applicants M. Kydyralieva, M. Aimanbaev and K. Toktobayeva.
Also, the CEC refused to register R. Remnev, due to his age under 35 years, to be elected in accordance with the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The CEC decided to satisfy applications of candidates N. Mamedov and A. Sartayev on withdrawal.
As of August 8, 2017, the total number of applicants to run for presidency is 52 people.
