Bishkek, March 6 / Kabar /. A festive event "A Thousand Women in Ak Elecek - 2017" is held in Bishkek on March 4. The holiday is dedicated to the Year of Morality, Education and Culture announced in the republic by President Almazbek Atambayev.
The event was attended by respectable residents of all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
The organizers presented colorful performances of domestic pop stars, theatrical performance and fashion show in the national style, also demonstrated how to wear elechek.
Elechek is one of the oldest Kyrgyz women's headdresses in the form of a turban, always white. For the first time young women wear elechiks, going to her husband's house. Women wear elechek in winter and summer, without elechek it was forbidden to go out to take a water.
