Celebration of World Savings Day begins in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. The celebration of World Savings Day begins in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported Monday.

"On Oct. 31 our country will celebrate the World Savings Day for the sixth time already. The National Bank holds it jointly with the German Sparkasse Foundation for International Cooperation, the Ministry of Education and Science, commercial banks and the Agency for Deposit Protection," the report says.

The goal of World Savings Day is to improve financial literacy of children and youth.

It aims at developing a culture of savings among the population, because savings provide an opportunity to plan their future: to educate children, to buy a house, a car, an opportunity to travel and many others.

This year, World Savings Day will be held online in compliance with all social norms.

Representatives of the National Bank, commercial banks and other financial institutions will tell through social networks about the importance of savings, introduce its different ways and multiplying the available savings.
