Census in Kyrgyzstan to be held in electronic format

Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2022 . / Kabar / . This year, the census will be held in electronic format, Aizada Tukasheva, the expert of the Census and Geo-information Systems Department of the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan said during a press conference in Bishkek.

She noted that this year the census will be conducted in two stages. The first stage will last from March 25 to April 3 and in remote areas - from April 23 to May 2.

"The census will take place by questionnaire in electronic format, regardless of the presence of residence registration and its nature, as well as the right to living space in this or other premises," said Aizada Tukasheva.

She noted that no documents are required.

The specialist noted that peculiarity of this year’s census is its electronic format.

"We included a block of questions on labor migration of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and CIS member states. In addition, issues on disability, availability of solar panel structures, biogas, mobile communications, Internet and computer are included," the representative of the National Statistics Committee concluded.
