Census of population and housing completed by 45% in Osh

Bishkek, March 30, 2022 . / Kabar /. Mayor of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city held on Wednesday a meeting with Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the republic Baktybek Kudaibergenov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the progress of the population and housing census of the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Osh Mayor’s Office reported.

As of today, the work on population and housing census in the city of Osh is 45% complete.

At the initiative of Mayor Almaz Mambetov, a competition will be announced for the best census officer in the categories of the population and housing census: Best Coordinator, Best Instructor-Controller, Best Recorder. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes.

"We encourage you to treat this important state event with responsibility and take an active part in the census. Let the census taker in, answer his questions - a civic duty of everyone," the report says.

The population and housing census is taking place in the Kyrgyz Republic from March 25 to April 3.
