Bishkek, June 2, 2022. /Kabar/. A Center for the Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries of Kyrgyzstan will be created in Issyk-Kul Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Agriculture reported Thursday.
On the basis of the signed memorandum on cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan and the Korean Maritime Institute (KMI), the Department of Fisheries developed a pre-feasibility study for the establishment of the Center for Aquaculture and Fisheries Development of Kyrgyzstan on the basis of the Ton fish breeding plant of Issyk-Kul Oblast.
This project will be implemented by the Korean side and is scheduled for 2022-2026.
On May 23-28, KMI experts, led by KMI Vice President Jeong Joon-hee, came to study the feasibility study in more detail.
"The National Center will have a training center, laboratories, housing complex for students and fish farmers, teachers, scientists," the report said
This center will provide the country's market with research services, training and retraining of qualified personnel, high-quality, meeting all veterinary and sanitary requirements, fish landing material of salmon, whitefish and carp species, modern technologies of commercial fish breeding, fish planting material, scientifically justified limits and quotas of fish catch, regulations, recommendations on fish breeding, adapted to different climatic zones of Kyrgyzstan.
