Bishkek, Aug. 18, 2021 . / Kabar / . A Center of the Korea Program on International Agriculture (KOPIA) in the Kyrgyz Republic and an agricultural demonstration field, established on the basis of the botanical garden of Kyrgyz National University named after Balasagyn, opened in Bishkek, the press service of the Kyrgyz Agriculture Ministry said.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan Lee Won-jae, the Korean delegation from the State Rural Development Administration (RDA) headed by Vice Administrator Kim Duho, as well as Rector of the Kyrgyz National University Kanat Sadykov.
Kyrgyzstan’s Development Minister Askarbek Dzhanybekov made congratulatory remarks during the event.
The main goal of the KOPIA Center is to train specialists-practitioners in agricultural development, increase productivity of small farms by introducing new, advanced technologies, conduct scientific research, train current and future personnel, as well as exchange experience with foreign partners.
