Bishkek, Sep 9, 2017. / Kabar /. Centerra Gold Inc. will allocate $10 million for purchase of equipment for the cancer center of the country, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov told journalists following the working trip to Kumtor mine.
He said that, this decision of Centerra says that the company's social orientation is high. In addition to these 10 million, the company will also help Kyrgyzstan in future in promoting social development.
"About 18 thousand people die of cancer each year in Kyrgyzstan. These are shocking figures. And that is why the decision of the head of state Almazbek Atambayev is that we must correct this situation immediately. Therefore, we are doing major repairs to bring the cancer center to the world level. And our partners will deliver the equipment," Isakov said.
