Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov and Head of the Asian Development Bank Resident Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic Kanokpan Lao-Araya attended the opening ceremony of the Centers of Excellence, held at the Bishkek College of Architecture and Construction Management.
At the same time, the opening ceremony of similar centers was held in pilot colleges in the Kyrgyz cities of Balykchy, Jalal-Abad, Kara-Balta, Kyzyl-Kiya, Naryn, Osh and Tokmok.
Edil Baisalov noted that the support and development of vocational training is one of the country's development priorities.
“Our main resource is human capital. Thanks to such centers, we will disseminate best practices in the field of vocational training so that our graduates are competitive and in demand in the labor market both within the country and anywhere in the world,” he said.
Kanokpan Lao-Araya noted that the center will become an indicator of how the existing educational programs meet the requirements of the local market, and certain professions are in demand in the labor market.
The deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the head of the Resident Mission of the Asian Development Bank got acquainted with the state of the Bishkek College of Architecture and Management in Construction after the repair work.
Edil Baisalov noted that the equipment installed in the college should not be exhibited, but should serve as a tool for students' work, and books should become a tool to improve their knowledge.
