Tashkent, Nov. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will provide economic and humanitarian aid to the people of Kyrgyzstan. This became known during a phone call between leaders of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the press service of the Uzbek president said Thursday.
During the conversation, Mirziyoyev and Tokayev discussed topical issues of bilateral agenda and regional interaction. The importance of further promotion of economic cooperation projects in priority sectors included in the "road map" of mutually beneficial practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was noted.
Special attention was paid to the continuation of active contacts at the regional and business levels, as well as to the expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The two leaders exchanged views on the development of the situation in the Central Asian region, as well as deepening the dialogue within international and regional organizations, including the CIS and SCO.
“They also considered the schedule of upcoming summit-level events,” the report said.
