Central Asian leaders to meet in Tashkent

Tashkent, Nov.22, 2019. /Kabar/. /. The second consultative meeting of heads of Central Asian states will be held in Tashkent on Nov.29, 2019, the UzA News Agency reported.

The agenda of the summit includes the expansion of regional cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian and other areas.

The parties will also exchange views on topical issues of international policy and regional security.

The meeting is expected to result in the adoption of the final document.

The initiative to hold regular consultative meetings of heads of state of Central Asian states was put forward by President of Uzbekistan during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in September 2017. The first summit was held in March last year in Nur-Sultan.
