Chair of Kyrgyz Supreme Court receives reps of USAID project to strengthen rule of law

Bishkek, Feb. 18, 2022 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan Zamirbek Bazarbekov received on Thursday head of the Ukuk Bulagy project Fred Houston.

The press service of the Supreme Court reported that the meeting was also attended by representatives of the highest judicial body of the country and the USAID project Ukuk Bulagy.

During the event, a draft Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ukuk Bulagy project was handed over.

In addition, representatives of the international organization raised a number of issues: the results of the State Target Program 2 and preparation of the State Target Program 3, strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice under the Supreme Court, development of mentoring programs for young judges and other issues.

Zamirbek Bazarbekov highlighted the relevance of the issues raised for the judicial system.

The sides agreed to continue interaction and productive cooperation.
