Chair of UN Working Group on discrimination against women and girls visits Osh

Osh, April 13, 2022. / Kabar /. Vice Mayor of Osh city Venera Ryskulova met on Tuesday with Chair of the UN Working Group on discrimination against women and girls Melissa Upreti.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the status of women in the modern world, as well as measures and efforts taken at various levels of government to protect the rights and interests of women and girls. Following the meeting, confidence was expressed to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of protecting the rights of women as equal representatives of modern society.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the mayor's office of the city of Jalal-Abad and the territorial departments of social development of the cities of Osh and Jalal-Abad.
